    Slightly surprised people would give you he’ll for using “fighting man” and “magic-user” in Mazes & Perils. I’m far more offended over the exclusive use of descending armor class. 😉

    Saving Throws:
    1st edition there are 5 and different for every class. They descend over levels of play. Players must roll higher(in DMG)
    2nd edition there are 5 and different for every class but there were only 4 classes then every other classes were subclasses They descend over levels of play. Players must roll higher (in PHB)
    3rd edition there are 3 and different for every class modified by con,dex or wis(in PHB)
    4th edition there is 1and different for every class (in PHB)roll 10 or better but they now is various defenses other than just AC
    5th edition there are 6 based on stats roll higher than required number
